A Video for the Week

It's been a long time since I've posted a video. Here's one from a few weeks ago. It shows how Micah has started standing all one his own. So fun! (Oh, and don't mind the screaming in the background - Caleb was in a time out!)

Felton Bridge Meetup

When we first moved here, I joined an online based play group with meetup.com. It's awesome. There's a calendar of events online, you pick what you want to go to, and have fun with other moms and kids. I've made a lot of friends through this group! I haven't been going as often since having number 2, but we go when we can and still have a blast.

We recently went to a "meetup" at Felton Covered Bridge park. We had never been there and were excited to explore.

We first spent some time playing at the playground. Micah can finally enjoy the swing, but often Caleb doesn't want to give him a turn. So, I decided to try the two-in-one approach. It was a big hit!
After playing for awhile, we loaded up the kiddos and walked across the bridge. The babies enjoyed the stroller together -
Over the bridge there's a horse boarding stables place (whatever you call them). We were able to kinda walk around and check out the horses. Near one of the stables this guys was changing the shoes on a horse. He was so cool! We asked him some questions, he showed us how he did it, and he even gave the kids an old horseshoe to take home -
Then we walked through the stables and said hello to the horses. Caleb made sure to keep his distance -
Then back over the bridge for more fun -
It was so fun to see a new place and the horses were an added bonus. Yay for parks, meetups, and great friends!

Cupcakes

A couple Mondays ago (Bobby's day off) we were trying to think of something fun to do. We thought about going to this cupcake place but found out it was closed on Mondays. So, we made some at home instead!
Micah was a little weirded out by the mixer.
Caleb was just a little excited -
Bobby did an amazing job with the frosting -
All done and ready to eat -
Yummy!
A happy child -
It was really fun. I think we need to do more family baking!

Caleb's 3rd Birthday

Here's some pictures from Caleb's actual birthday.

We kept with the tradition of pancakes (Caleb's favorite) but I tried to make them into 3's -

Then he got to open some gifts -

Then we went to the park with Katie and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The boys had fun -

After naps we finished the day at Chuck-E-Cheese with some friends. I took pictures but they somehow never made it onto my computer and now they're deleted from the camera. So sad. But Jill took some pictures. You can see them on her blog.

Fun times. Can't believe my son is 3! How did that happen?!?!

Wedding

A couple weekends ago, my cousin, Cameron, got married! The wedding was close enough we were able to drive out for the day and we had a blast hanging out with family.

The grandparents are always great to help out with the little ones!
Micah had fun -
Beautiful wedding party cousins (sisters to the groom) -

Caleb made friends with the few other kids in attendance and had fun running all over the place with them.
